But A Candle

Alone in the darkness I was stumbling-
Sometimes was hurt.. sometimes was falling.
Kept going on and on aimlessly
Did not know where was I stumbling to be..

Suddenly I saw a spot of light
To me it was so bright..
That helped me find the way to go..
How it meant to me you would never know..
I walked straight ahead confidently
There was no doubt when you were with me
How I hope to have you by my side 
But oh.. that's not the exit light
That shone at the end of the dark tunnel..
It was only a tiny candle !
With the soft breath breathing-
The light was stalling..
Then away it was blown- 
And took away my only soul

Oh.. how can I carry on..
I am so blind and forlorn.
Oh.. how can I walk alone
Without the only light of my soul..
In the darkness and misery
I am now blind completely..
Oh where is that hoping light ?
Without you by my side..
Oh where can the exit be?
I feel around and found only me..

It is now the end of the light
..at the end of the tunnel!
